ABOUT JOEY.
My name is Joey Pelletier, and I am the owner and lead designer/developer of JP Web Studio.
Creating websites has been my passion ever since I was a teenager. I first started my journey by watching tutorials on web development, and eventually used those skills to create websites on things I was passionate about, such as clothing and design.
I decided to attend the University of Colorado Boulder to further pursue my passion for web design and development. My first thought was to major in Computer Science, but then I discovered the Creative Technology and Design program, and knew that it would be the perfect choice for me. The program has taught me foundational skills such as typography, programming, UI/UX, and the overall design process. Combining both design and engineering, I was able to gain the skills and confidence to bring designs to life.
After graduating in December 2025, a time where AI became extremely prominent, I wanted to make an impact towards bringing out the importance of voices and ideas. Design (especially when generated by AI) can not exist in a blank, purposeless space. Effective decisions and strategy are what makes design a helpful engagement tool. Therefore, in April 2026, JP Web Studio was created to give organizations and individuals the power to increase engagement towards their mission.
Outside of my expertise, I live with my feline executive assistant Squish, who is indeed a cat that lives by his name. As a life-long Coloradoan, I enjoy scenic hikes and the atmospheric EDM scene here in this beautiful state. Blending with my expertise, I am always looking for public speaking opportunities to make my voice, values, and aspirations known.
